Drive time: ≈ 45 km / ~1 hr (to Kasbah Bab Ourika) or ≈ 80 km / ~1 hr 45 min (to Kasbah Tamadot)On arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport you will be met in the arrivals hall by your driver and transferred directly to your Atlas Mountains hotel or kasbah. Time to settle in — relax by the pool, enjoy the spa facilities, or simply take in the mountain air.
Day 02 — Atlas Mountains (Hiking day)
After breakfast, set out with your local mountain guide for a full day of hiking. The route climbs toward remote Berber villages at the foot of Jbel Toubkal (North Africa’s highest peak, 4,168 m). Along the way your guide will introduce local agriculture (walnuts, cherries, apples), and you’ll have opportunities to enter village homes and meet residents — expect warm welcomes and lively greetings from local children..Meals: Breakfast & picnic lunch.
Day 03 — Atlas Mountains → Plateau de Kik → Agafay
Drive time: ≈ 65 km / ~1 hr 35 min (total to Agafay)This morning you’ll meet your mountain guide at Plateau de Kik for a morning walk across the plateau — spectacular, wide-angle views of mountain ranges provide excellent photo opportunities and a peaceful walking experience. After the walk, transfer by 4x4 toward the Agafay area. Stop for lunch near Lake Lalla Takerkoust (suggested: Le Flouka Restaurant).Arrive to your desert camp in late afternoon. Take time to relax on your terrace, then enjoy a sunset camel ride across the stony dunes. In the evening dine under the stars in a candlelit, desert-style setting — a memorable night of music, spice-rich cuisine and desert atmosphere.Meals: Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 04 — Agafay → Essaouira
Drive time: ≈ 180 km / ~3 hrsAfter breakfast, depart for the Atlantic coast and the laid-back city of Essaouira. You’ll arrive in time for lunch, then begin an on-foot exploration of the medina’s narrow laneways, whitewashed façades, and the lively fishing port. Visit the Sqala of the Kasbah for ocean views and the city’s historic cannons, then explore Essaouira’s Jewish heritage sites — the mellah, synagogues and the old Jewish cemetery — as your guide recounts the city’s layered history.Meals: Breakfast, lunch. Optional dinner.
Day 05 — Essaouira (Optional activities)
After breakfast choose from a range of optional activities tailored to your interests:
Cooking workshop: Shop with your guide at the spice market then learn to prepare classic Moroccan dishes in a hands-on class — enjoy the meal you’ve cooked at lunchtime (recommended: L’Atelier M Maddada, class 10:30).
Kitesurfing: Essaouira is a world-class kitesurfing playground, ideal for beginners and advanced riders alike (provider recommendation: Explora Watersport).
Surfing: Surf lessons and guided surf trips are available; Sidi Kaouki — a short drive down the coast — is a quieter surf alternative.Finish the day with dinner at a local favorite — suggested: Umia Restaurant.Meals: Breakfast and lunches as applicable.
Day 06 — Essaouira → Essaouira Airport (Departure)
After breakfast you will be transferred to Essaouira airport for your onward flight. Pickup for the transfer will be arranged approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight time (please confirm your flight time with us in advance). This marks the end of your High Atlas & Coastal Escape.Meals: Breakfast.
